But the journey to creating meaningful jewellery wasn’t always clear. Like many of us, my path started unexpectedly, at a time in my life when I needed something to hold onto, something to guide me through a difficult period.
In 2020, I began my jewellery journey at my dining table, creating crystal beaded jewellery. During a challenging time, I found solace in working with gemstones, fascinated by their inherent beauty and the deep, hidden meanings they could carry. I loved the idea of creating something that felt personal, something that could carry a piece of the earth’s magic, and offer comfort or strength. However, as much as I loved the process, I found that the designs I was creating didn’t fully reflect my personal style—elegant, timeless, and sophisticated. I wanted jewellery that spoke to the heart but still felt refined enough to wear every day.
The Journey to Fine Jewellery
In my search for fine jewellery that embodied both elegance and meaningful symbolism, I found that the pieces available didn’t quite capture what I was looking for. Gemstones, especially the ones with unique colours and inclusions, seemed to lack the refinement I craved. That’s when I decided to teach myself how to make fine jewellery.
