So if you've been here a while you'll know that Moments Jewellery is all about the love of gemstones and natures treasures, the more unique and quirky the better. In the place of diamond centre stones you'll find gems like Sapphires and Tourmalines, and in the place of trends you'll find one of a kind pieces and made to order custom designs.
I've been saying for a while now on my Instagram page that it still feels like something is missing, like there is a lost piece of the puzzle that is going to show the whole picture of my brand. I've been doing a lot of self reflection and soul searching over the past few months and I feel like the haze has finally started to lift, and actually what I want to do and enjoy doing the most has been staring me in the face all along. Kind of like when you have a realisation about yourself but everyone around you already knew? Welcome to the party!
So, it might seem like this phrase is thrown around flippantly but I am fully embracing the feeling of "being unapologetically me", and I think this is what Moments has needed for a while now too.
Some things that make me who I am:
- I'm a perfectionist, I get really frustrated with myself when I can't find the answer to something or I feel I could have done something better.
- I'm very passionate about my hobbies and need to learn everything there is to know about them.
- I love cats, I'm sorry but I'm not a dog lover... don't hate me! They're cute to look at but I'm nervous when they jump on me.
- I'm really into fantasy, mythical worlds and stories. I have been reading and watching Harry Potter for about 20 years on repeat, love Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Witcher etc and have recently discovered a few authors who's entire book series I have listened to within DAYS and I'm obsessed.
- I'm deeply sentimental, an empath and have a huge desire to put some good out into the world.
- I love flowers and nature, I feel the most relaxed and at peace when I am out surrounded by lakes and mountains.
So why am I telling you this and what does this have to do with jewellery? I've been working on creating a whole new jewellery line this year whilst learning new skills at the same time. It's nearly ready, and I will be releasing my new ready to order collection one by one over the next few weeks/months. All inspired by my greatest passions and what makes me who I am, and I hope that they will resonate with you too.
